You can turn closed captions on and off on 2012-2014 Samsung TV and Blu-Ray players from within the Feeln app. To access these settings, navigate down to the “Help and Support” menu item in the main navigation on the left side of the app:
Click “Help and Support” to open up the sub-menu:
“Closed Captions” will be the first item in this menu.
Click the right arrow on your remote to move your selector down to the first column called “Display”. This turns captions on and off while watching a movie.
Use the up and down arrow keys on your remote to move between buttons in each column.
When the selector is over the “On” button, click “Select” or “Enter” on your remote. You’ll know that your selection was made by the orange check mark as you see in the screenshot above.
You can now return back to the app by clicking the left arrow button on your remote or by clicking the “Return” button on your remote to navigate back to the main categories.
If you wish to turn captions Off, just repeat the steps above and select “Off” under “Display”. Make sure the orange check mark is on the “Off” button as you see below:
You can now navigate back to the main categories and captions will no longer appear.
Styling Closed Captions
If you wish to change how captions appear, you use the same methods as described above to navigate to the Closed Caption settings. Once there, just use the right and left arrow on your remote to navigate between the columns.
Ensure Closed Captions are set to “On”.
Once on a column, use the up and down arrows to move between the settings. You can change the text side and the background transparency.
Click “Select” or “Enter” on your remote to make your selection. Your selection will have a check mark on the button. You can see the changes you make in the preview window on this screen.
Once you are satisfied with how captions appear, you can navigate back to the main categories.
